KIRBY'S STORY

How this all started

I started making wedding cakes as a hobby and to help young brides who could not afford them from a bakery. For years I made bouquets, veils, dresses, ring pillows, flower girl baskets, rice bags, pew bows, etc.

I have decorated walls, tables, chairs, bird baths and entire churches. I've made punch, cake, candy, finger foods, . . . the whole works. Then one day I realized my hobby wasn't fun anymore and I gave up on the cake business.

Then my sister got married and offered to buy everything I needed to make her wedding cake. I was back in the cake business.

Been enjoying making cakes ever since. The key was to just enjoy making cakes, not complete weddings.

While I still help with the occasional wedding, I concentrate mostly on just making CAKES. All kinds of cakes!
